This singular beauty is from a rare harvest of Black Walnut in Denver (a blight about 7 years ago wiped out many of these trees). The tones and colors are deep and rich…photos show some reds; in person sometimes you see purples.

It holds a healthy 8 salad servings, easily 3 bunches of bananas and a few other fruits.

The Wabi Sabi element came from a spike; the tree grew around it and it was a welcome relief to find it before the lathe!
